DIY Facial Steam

After a long weekend, what sounds better than a facial steam? Okay maybe sleep, a new episode of Game Of Thrones, and a wholesome meal, but this facial treat is a close fourth. An essential oil steam will open your pores right up so that your skin can breathe freely. Beware you may drift away into retreat land. It’s best to wash your face lightly before removing any make-up. After you will do a bit more of a deep clean.

For Essential Oils, you can alter to your liking but here are a few recommend for each dosha. You can mix two to three together only using 2 drops of each. Less is more in this situation.

Vata: Chamomile, Lavender, Clary Sage, Rose and Sandalwood

Pitta: Bergamot, Cedarwood,Geranium, Lavender and Sandalwood.

Kapha: Clary Sage, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Orange and Cypress.

1.) Boil a pot of water.

2.) Place the water in a bowl.

3.) Add essential oils.

5.) Place towel over your head and bowl and breathe in the rich steamed air for 10 minutes. Once done, wash face using a toner or facial scrub.
