Ayurvedic Painting

Ayurvedic Painting

When my sister brought out the beet and turmeric Easter egg dye the other day, I couldn’t help but paint with it. So simple, cost-effective and you could totally eat your artwork (if you’re into that kind of stuff). If you are into eating your art, this painting is packed with anti-inflammatory properties, it’s a natural blood cleanser and increases stamina. I know, I’m 1/8 of the way into convincing you to take a bite. Also we agree to blame the messiness of the above composition on the fact that I was amped up on beets and turmeric, yeah?

It’s pretty simple to make. For the beet paint – Boil 1 cup water, with 1 cup of shredded beets and 1 tablespoon of vinegar and strain. Same goes for the turmeric paint, just swatch out beets for 2 tablespoons of turmeric and you got yourself a full on Ayurvedic paint party.

Now scurry to your easels for some hardcore liver cleansing. (That’s what I imagine Monet said.)
