I was gifted some Chandan or Sandalwood Powder by my teacher a few months back. I was intimidated so I left it on my dresser and planned to never use it. Isn’t there a saying plan to not have a plan?
On my last trip home, I decided to bring it back to SF with me and do some research. A facial scrub immediately caught my eye. If you have skin like mine, then holiday cookies and wine are sure to make an appearance on it. Two days after the New Year? I’d say timing couldn’t be better.
A Sandalwood face mask gives you that healthy glow. It has antimicrobial proprieties that aid in healing the skin from any blemishes, rashes, or wrinkles. It is great to include in your everyday skin care routine. Bonus points, it also helps to open up the pineal gland and keeps you grounded.
If you have oily skin use Rosewater. If your skin is dry, try using milk. I used a combination of the two. Mix all ingredients together until it is blended into a paste without any clumps. Apply to your face and leave on for 15-20 minutes. While mask is on, run around the neighborhood and scare your neighbors. Then, rinse the mask off. Follow up with a toner, and bask in the glow.
